"A Seat at the Table”, A Celebration of Black Media & the 25th Anniversary of April Ryan covering the White House was hosted by Bryon Allen, CEO/Owner Entertainment Studios & theGrio, and April Ryan, theGrio's White House Bureau Chief. The 250-guest reception was held at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture, in Washington D.C., as a pre-party event to the White House Correspondents Association weekend. Top Black media, influencers, politicians, and celebrities including Vivica A. Fox, Coretta Scott King, and Gayle King, attended the cocktail reception to honor April Ryan. The event featured a performance from Grammy award-winning and Oscar-nominated artist, actress, and producer Mary J. Blige, and legendary DJ D-Nice.
